Motorola Atrix 4G Unveiled at CES 2011

Watch as Motorola unveils the new Atrix 4G Smartphone at CES 2011. It was a truly historic moment.

10 Minute Presentation plus interviews with Motorola Executives, geeks and hands on demos!
Featured in the video:  Seang Chau, Vice President and Chief Software Engineer – Motorola Mobility, Inc.

Video Transcription Summary (first 5 Minutes):

I’m pleased to introduce the Motorola Atrix 4G – the world’s most powerful smartphone.  It features a dual core processor delivering up to 2 GHz of processing power…  It also features a 1930 mAh battery at 10.9 mm thin form factor, and 1 GB of RAM.  The power and speed of the Atrix 4G smartphone is comparable to a PC…  It also has a QHD display that delivers a crisp HD video experience.  Is the world’s first QHD smartphone.  It also features an extremely innovative fingerprint reader for enhanced security.

But if you think about it, even though this is the world’s most powerful smartphone it does not give you everything that you need in a computing device.  Social networking, checking e-mail, browsing the Internet can also be done, but a mobile display does not give us the full experience needed for full screen and full keyboard usage such as web browsing, document creation, watching HD video, etc.  The Motorola Atrix 4G extends the mobile experience to offer a larger display, full keyboard and mouse experience buy integrating with the Atrix Laptop Dock and HD Dock.  to show you more about how we did this I’d like to welcome Seang Chau to the stage he is the Chief Software Engineer and Vice President of Motorola Mobility.

[Mr Chau goes on to showcase the webtop (web-top) capabilities of the Atrix with the dock - giving you a full computer or HDMI out experience driven entirely from the dual core smartphone.]

Paraphrased:
“This is the HD Dock – it’s the entertainment center that you’re seeing here.  It has three USB ports, HDMI and other outputs.  The dock features full HD output. You can even use your phone as a remote on the big screen or the included separate remote to control your phone and watch HD movies, play videos, listen to music, view pictures – all from the Atrix Motorola 4G phone…”

Also noted is full browsing capability using Firefox.  It gives you full desktop browsing capabilities including full flash.
